How should I dress?

Comfortably!  Come casual or dress up a little.  People wear anything from shorts and jeans to dresses and sport coats, but you’ll see very few ties!

Do I need to bring anything?

No.  If you want to bring a Bible, feel free to do so, although bibles are provided at each seat.  We utilize large projection screens during the service to make it easier to follow the service message and the words to worship songs.

Can I remain anonymous?

Absolutely! We realize that many people want to check out a church without calling attention to themselves.  However, you may want to fill out a Communication card (located in the back of the chairs) and hand it in at the Welcome Center. You will receive a complimentary The Orchard mug and a gift certificate to our own coffee shop.

Do you ask for money?

We don’t “pass the plate” during our services. Instead, offering boxes are placed in the back of the auditorium and also in the lobbies to receive these contributions.  You can also mail a check or use your credit card to make your donation by contacting the church office.

While services may vary from week to week, each service includes worship with singing, announcements, a sermon and time for prayer and to take communiun, if desired.  Other elements often include drama, video clips and visual art.

What is the music like?

Our music is contemporary and upbeat and we encourage each person to express to God what we feel from our hearts in a way that is most meaningful and comfortable for the individual. We combine a balance of old and new in a contemporary praise setting.  Led by a team of musicians, our services are a time of corporate, intimate communion with God.  The worship team includes vocalists, guitars, keyboard and drums.  The team draws from various styles of music to unite us in worship, celebration, and praise.

I want to get involved in a ministry.  What is my next step?

The Orchard has a number of Ministries designed to get you connected with others within the church as well as the Roaring Fork community.  Please visit our Ministries page to see which one you might find interesting.  We also have a variety of volunteer opportunties.

What does your church believe?

We believe that the Bible is uniquely God-inspired and without error.  We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We believe that Jesus Christ lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute.  He then rose again, conquering death.  This allows eternal salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. You can read more about this at What We Believe.

Where is your church going?

At The Orchard we have defined answers to the questions “why do we exist?” (our permanent Purpose), “what it will look like when we are complete” (our future Vision), “how we accomplish our purpose and reach our vision” (our present Mission).  For more on this please visit Vision.
